Delete your MarketMate account
Movent (Private) Limited, developer of MarketMate
You can delete your MarketMate account at any time, along with everything saved to it. There are two ways to do it. Use the first if you can still sign in, because it takes effect immediately.
1. From inside the app
Open MarketMate and go to Account, then Personal information, then Delete account. You will be asked to confirm.
This is not a freeze or a deactivation, and there is no way for you to undo it.
2. By email, if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in
Write to privacy@marketmatehq.com and ask us to delete your account. Please send the message from the email address the account uses, because that is how we confirm the request really came from you. We will not delete an account on the word of somebody we cannot verify, since that would make deletion a way to attack another person's account.
We will answer within one month, and in practice much sooner.
What happens the moment you confirm
- Every session on every device is revoked and you are signed out.
- Your username is retired permanently, so nobody can claim it later and pretend to be you.
- Your account is marked as deleted and can no longer be used.
What is deleted, and when
Your account record is permanently erased from our systems 30 days later by an automatic sweep. That short window exists so that a deletion made by mistake, or made by somebody who got into your account, can be investigated, and so that a dispute has a record. We will not restore an account during that window except in response to a request we have verified came from you.
When the record is erased, everything attached to it goes with it.

What deletion cannot reach
Deleting your account does not reach back into the anonymous diagnostic and usage information already collected, because none of it was ever linked to your account and there is no key by which we could find yours. Our Privacy Statement describes what that information is and why it is built that way.
We may also keep information for longer where the law requires it, or where we need it to prevent fraud, resolve a dispute or enforce our Terms of Service.
If you only want to stop using MarketMate
You do not need an account to use MarketMate. Most of the app works as a guest, so you can delete your account and keep browsing prices, indices, charts and news. Uninstalling the app ends all collection from your device, and deleting your account is what removes what we hold.
